Nicolas Folliot holds a Pharm D from PARIS XI University and a Master's Degree in Medical Management from ESCP Business School. During his more than 25-years pharmaceutical industry career at GSK, Bayer, Menarini and Servier, he held increasing positions of sales and marketing responsibility in France and international markets with a special focus on Africa, Middle East and Latin America. In his last position from May 2015 to January 2023, he established the Export Department of BIOGARAN, a French generic pharmaceuticals company to develop the BIOGARAN brand and revenues in over 24 countries, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East North Africa region.

Nicolas moved to Washington DC in February 23 following his wife appointment at the International Monetary Fund. He is currently the Chief Global Expansion Officer at KOOLBOKS, a French start-up specialized in green refrigeration devices.

He became a France Foreign Trade Advisor in February 2020 through his nomination to the Paris Region CCEF Committee and transferred to the Washington DC CCEF committee in February 2023. He is a member of the CCEF healthcare expertise committee leadership, which has established a partnership with France Biotech for a coordinated support of healthcare companies innovation, international expansion and cooperation between the various actors of the Health-Tech ecosystem.
