Frédéric currently serves as the North American Director for Business France, a position he has held since September 2021. Business France is responsible for fostering export growth by French businesses and facilitating international investment in France.
He began his career at the French Embassy in Israel, where he studied the economic interactions between the Jewish state and its neighbors. He then joined the Ministry of Finance to occupy various positions within the economic and commercial services of the French embassies successively in Manila, Sydney and Mumbai.
From 2009 to 2012, he took an active part in the reform process initiated within UBIFRANCE, the French agency for the promotion of the development of international trade, as a member of the executive committee in charge of building the international network of the agency (80 offices in 60 countries) and its management by objective. From September 2012 to August 2016, Business France (new French Agency for the internationalization of the economy resulting from the merger of UBIFRANCE and Invest in France Agency) assigned him to Singapore to take charge of the Southeast Asia and Oceania network (9 offices covering 12 countries).
In 2016, he came back to Paris to lead all the Trade and VIE business lines of the newly formed Business France agency, as a Deputy CEO. In this capacity, he took an active role in the launching of the Team France Export alliance between Business France, the French CCI and Bpifrance under the aegis of the French Regions and the French government and launched the “Plan de Relance Export” to help the French SMEs sustain their export activities during and after the Covid pandemic.
A graduate in economics, politics and in art history, he currently resides in New York City with his wife and two young boys.
